Air Berlin has signed up for membership in the global airline alliance oneworld and is expected to become a full member at the start of 2012. Together with other oneworld members, airberlin is able to offer its customers more services and benefits than it could as a single carrier. These services include an expanded route network, the collecting and redeeming of frequent flyer miles and points within the entire oneworld network as well as more airport lounges.
